Q: What makes a great brand?
A: The effectiveness of a brand can be seen through the eyes of its audience. It's when an emotional link is established between the product and the consumer that nurtures and delivers satisfaction without being invasive. It's delivering the product honestly and with respect to the audience. It's the building of sales and market share by building relationships.
Q: Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and solutions for clients?
A: Listen to the client and make sure they listen to you. Don't dictate or be dictated to. The client/agency relationship is a partnership between firms. The best ideas and execution come from an open line of communication. The process involves that client teaching the agency about the product and the agency teaching the client about the market. After all, if you already have all the answers on how to market your product, what are you doing here?
Q: What do you for a good time when you’re not working?
A: Basically everything my mom said was no good for me.
Q: What are your favorite internet sites?
A: fark.com. It's a little bit of everything I like. Well thought out discussions, innovative insults, ribald commentary, and a general disdain for your fellow man.
Q: What talent do you wish you had?
A: Juggling. Try as I might, I just have never been able to get it down. I am deeply jealous of those with this natural ability.
